Oil filtration
We show you
what’s inside.
A value oil filter built to a real spec — and we publish the internals so you don’t have to take our word for it. Media, end caps, anti-drainback valve, micron rating. Find yours by the part number you run now, or your vehicle.
Part number or year / make / model — we’ll route you to the ProGrade equivalent.
No tools to install
Screws on by hand. No filter wrench.
The whole canister is rough-textured — not just a textured band at one end like the name brands. Grab it anywhere and hand-tighten it on with oily fingers, the way a filter’s meant to go on: snug to the gasket, then about three-quarters of a turn. No wrench, no straining.
Grip the entire can, not a single band. A textured canister, not a welded nut.
The ProGrade standard
Honest filters, priced fair. Built to beat name brands on construction — and cut open to prove it.
Independent teardown
We didn’t send him this. He bought one and cut it open.
The Whip City Wrencher — an independent teardown channel (~26K subscribers) — bought a ProGrade PG4967 on his own, unprompted and unpaid, cut it open on camera, and gave it a green light. Here’s what people said when they saw the inside:
- “Well made filter, no skimpy materials.” — viewer comment
- “Beats some big name brands like a drum, in terms of build.” — viewer comment
What sets it apart
Transparency /01
We publish the guts
Media type, end-cap material, anti-drainback valve, micron rating — listed on the product page. Not “premium quality.” The actual spec, at the actual micron, on a named test.
Value /02
Priced fair, built right
Made overseas so we can price it fair — we’re upfront about that. Built to a spec that beats name brands on construction, and independently cut open to prove it.
Fitment /03
